Below the refractory spout, the glowing stream enters the casting cavity. A tilted refractory ladle, a stream of liquid metal and a moulding flask dominate the scene. Molten cast iron transfers from the ladle into the cavity to fill the mould. An operator wearing heat protection stands beside the pouring station.
